DeepL is an AI-powered translation service known for producing more natural and accurate translations than Google Translate. Absolutely! JSON Translator is specifically designed to maintain your JSON structure perfectly. Only the text values are translated while all keys, nested structures, arrays, and formatting remain exactly as they were. Your translated file will have the same structure as the original.
Your data is completely secure. We process your JSON files entirely in memory and never store them on disk or in any database. Once the translation is complete and you download the result, all data is immediately deleted from our servers. We don't log file contents or keep any copies of your data.
We currently support 10 major languages: English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Korean, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Russian. We're continuously working to add more languages based on user demand.
We currently support files up to 10MB in size. If you need to translate larger files, you can split them into smaller chunks.
By default, only the text values in your JSON are translated. Keys, URLs, image paths, file extensions, numbers, and variables (like $gameParty) are automatically excluded. You can customize this behavior using our Advanced Options to specify additional patterns to ignore or to enable key translation if needed.
Currently, you can translate up to 3 files per day with a maximum of 4,000 characters total. The limit resets every 24 hours.
Yes! JSON Translator is currently completely free to use within the daily limits (3 files, 4,000 characters per day). We may introduce premium plans in the future with additional features.
Absolutely! JSON Translator is perfect for translating RPG Maker files (CommonEvents.json, Map.json, etc.), Unity localization files, and other game-related JSON data. The DeepL translation quality ensures that character dialogue and story text feel natural in the target language.
