Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using JSON Translator ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

JSON Translator is a web-based service that translates JSON files using the DeepL API while preserving the original file structure. The Service is provided with both free and paid subscription plans.

3. Use License

3.1 Permitted Use

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for:

• Personal projects
• Commercial projects
• Open source projects
• Educational purposes

3.2 Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal purposes
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission

4. Subscription Plans and Pricing

4.1 Free Plan

• 5 files per month
• 10,000 characters per month
• Maximum 5,000 characters per file
• Maximum 10MB per file

4.2 BASIC Plan (¥1,980/month or ¥19,800/year)

• 60 files per month
• 300,000 characters per month
• Maximum 20,000 characters per file
• Maximum 10MB per file

4.3 PRO Plan (¥4,980/month or ¥49,800/year)

• 300 files per month
• 1,000,000 characters per month
• Maximum 50,000 characters per file
• Maximum 10MB per file

4.4 Payment and Billing

Payments for paid plans are processed through Stripe. Subscription fees are automatically charged based on your selected billing cycle (monthly or yearly). Charges may be in Japanese Yen (JPY) or US Dollars (USD).

4.5 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. After the billing period ends, your account will automatically downgrade to the free plan.

4.6 Refund Policy

Subscription fees are non-refundable due to the nature of the service. However, we will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis if technical issues prevented you from using the Service.

4.7 Rate Limit Enforcement

For free plan users, rate limits are enforced using IP address tracking. For paid plan users, limits are managed by user account. Attempts to circumvent these limits may result in temporary or permanent ban from the Service.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the JSON files you upload and translate. You must ensure that:

• You have the right to translate the content
• The content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
• The content does not contain malware or malicious code

5.2 Data Processing

Your files are processed in memory and immediately deleted after translation. We do not claim any ownership rights to your content. However, usage statistics (number of files translated, character counts, etc.) are stored in our database for plan limit management purposes.

6. Service Availability

6.1 No Guarantee

The Service is provided "as is" without any guarantees of availability, reliability, or performance. We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
• Perform maintenance with or without notice
• Change rate limits or features

6.2 Service Interruptions

We are not liable for any interruptions, delays, or failures of the Service caused by:

• Third-party services (DeepL API, Vercel, etc.)
• Network issues
• Maintenance or updates
• Force majeure events

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Service Ownership

JSON Translator, including its design, code, and documentation, is owned by Fumiya Ukai and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

7.2 User Content

You retain all rights to the JSON files you upload and the translated results. We do not claim any ownership or license to your content.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accuracy of translations
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Availability or uptime

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or errors
• Inaccurate translations

YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Translation Accuracy

While we use the high-quality DeepL API, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of translations. You should review translated content before using it in production environments.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party services including:

• DeepL API: Translation service - Subject to DeepL's terms of service
• Stripe: Payment processing - Subject to Stripe's terms of service
• Google OAuth: Authentication service - Subject to Google's terms of service
• Cloudflare Pages: Hosting - Subject to Cloudflare's terms of service
• Upstash Redis: Rate limiting - Subject to Upstash's terms of service

We are not responsible for any issues arising from these third-party services.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we handle your data.

13. Account Termination and Deletion

13.1 User-Initiated Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Deleting your account will:

• Immediately cancel any active subscriptions
• Delete all translation history
• Permanently remove your account information
• Delete your Stripe customer data

Warning: This action cannot be undone. You will be required to enter your email address to confirm account deletion.

13.2 Service-Initiated Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:

• Violation of these Terms
• Abusive or fraudulent use
• Technical or security reasons

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

17. Severability

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and JSON Translator regarding the use of the Service.
